For over 30 years, we’ve been designing , building and fixing rooms of all shapes and sizer throughout the NYC Metro area. From building recording, & rehearsal rooms and video studios from the ground up, to improving classrooms, churches, and other spaces that have struggled for years sonically. WHAT WE DO
Artistic Acoustical Design
We go to Great Lengths to procure wood reclaimed from a variety of different sources. This allows us to use wood that’s been seasoned for nearly 100 years.
Once we get it back to our Wood shop, then we prepare the wood by removing any unwanted nails, planning, ripping and chopping to our specification. This allows us to use wood that is far superior to the wood of today. Whenever possible, we try to utilize this in our acoustical designs because diffusion is much better when seasoned old wood is used.
Custom Woodworking
Manufacturing frames, vent covers, boxes wall hanging absorbers, bass traps, diffusers, and more has become one of our specialties. We also build our own doors and frames. We also with doors add multiple layers of mass loaded vinyl, and other layers of wood such as maple, pine and other laminate for strengthening, deadening, and density.
We Love What We Do
Standing waves are one of the biggest problems in rooms with parallel walls. We strive to it all cost when given a room to modify or alter the shapes of these rooms with pre-existing conditions. If space does not allow for changing the shape of the wall will utilize different products, adding a lot of diffusion and absorption on those parallel surfaces.
